so my mom's entire neighborhood is totally out of control. every house has massive amounts of decorations on it! it looks like madison avenue (not that I've ever been to madison avenue, but it looks how I imagine madison avenue to look...) (ok fine, it looks like the disneyland main street electrical parade, happy now)... anyway, here's the pict...

decorating indoors!

If yesterday was the day to decorate the outside of grandma's house, today was the day to decorate the inside. C was pretty into putting up the tree and putting ornaments on.

He wasn't the only one who liked the tree though! Emily also liked the lights and was checking out all the cool decorations.

However, what decorating day would not be complete, unless there was a crazy story to go along with it... I decided to decorate the hearth at about 8p - total ocd... it's bad... I hope it ends soon... but I'm sensing an outdoor stars purchase in my future...

decorating outdoors!

So we decided to decorate Grandma's house today... what an adventure. WE started out with JUST lights... however, in this neighborhood, that just wasn't going to cut it. Soon, Raymond had brought over some reindeer and candy canes... then we all decided we had to have the snowman (pictured here) that was over at Michaels. So we went to Michaels, only to find out they had sold out. They called the one in Orange and said they'd hold one for us, but when we got there... they didn't have anything for us. So then, we went to Costa Mesa and checked that one... in luck! booyeah! and C even had a breadstick from Pat and Oscars on the way out...

Thanksgiving!

So today was Thanksgiving. C and I ate over at Grandma's house. It was pretty darn good. Grandma made the turkey and the mashed potatoes. I made the stuffing, green beans, and salad. C had a Thanksgiving meal of noodles and olives.

It was actually pretty nice, b/c I got to go for a run in the morning and stopped at the gym for a workout too. Then helped make the food. Ate the food. Took C to get some hot chocolate and coffee for pie. Came back and ate pie. Loaded up C on the back of my bike and rode out to Oma and Opa's. Rode back. Then Mom and I went to see the movie 'Finding Neverland' - which was outstanding. Nice nice day. Lots to be thankful for.

I actually tried to get C to tell me what he was thankful for... I started by saying I was thankful for him and E. He responded by saying he was thankful for my yellow Lego castle... and star wars... and transformers... Oh well, I'll keep working on it with him
