So I took Emmy and Christopher to the OC Fair today. They both had a blast. C rode this super tall Ferris Wheel and this Cobra roller coaster thing. They both rode on the Merry Go Round, though Emmy was a little more skeptical of the thing. I think she liked it in theory, but not so much in practice.

Oh well, it was nothing that a huge cone of vanilla soft serve ice cream couldn't fix. C even managed not to upset any carnies this year too. All in all, a wild success!

Sorry, Matt

So back in college, we used to tease my friend, Matt Thorn, a lot for his love of the band Rush. We used to say that the music sounded so urgent, like their very lives were at stake. That the world was in jeopardy and only a clever Netrek move could save it.

Well... not afraid to admit when I'm wrong... I have to say... I am now officially in love with Rush's first album. In fact, I'm sort of enamored with all that late 70's laser light show music right now. Blame it on TS, he kept requesting it at his farewell party: Rush, Mountain, Rainbow, Uriah Heep, and Styx
